Applications
Common structural steel for welded assemblies, Re>355 N/mm2. Guaranted toughness at 0 'C. It can be used for statically and dynamically stressed constructions.

Heat Treatment

Soft Annealing
Heat to 650-700 'C, cool slowly.

Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 860-890 'C followed by oil or water quenching.

Tempering
Normalizing temperature: 860-890 'C.

 

Workability


Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1050-850 'C.

Machinability
Machinability is good, rated at 90% that of the 1112 alloy used as a 100% machining rated steel.
